Halloween, 2006

Arnav was dressed as Blue Knight (as last year). Kaka became a Darth Vider, complete with a mask. Arnav could wear his costume to school. This year, Kaka had to wear his regular school uniform to school. At night, Manish and I took the children around our neighborhood. The children had a blast. They trick-or-treated till about 7:30 in the evening.

Rini's birthday 2006

We had a low-key birthday celebration for Rini's birthday. It was a Sunday. Rimu made a cake to her Didi's liking.

Arnav's Pre-K Winter Program

These are pictures from Arnav's Pre-K class winter program on Dec 11th. His teachers are Ms. Krishna and Ms. Arthi. I was in India at that time. Manish and Rimu attended. Manish took these pictures. Hopefully, one of these days I can post the video somewhere.

Rimu's baby shower

Rini organized a surprise baby shower for Rimu on 17th Dec 2006. It was the day after I came back from my trip to India on business. It was a complete surprise for Rimu although Manish found out about it the night before the party from a guest who was unable to attend. It was a wonderful party complete with lots of friends, excellent potluck lunch and very well organized. Kudos Rini.

South Lake Tahoe, Dec 2006

We along with families of Dheeren, Deepak, Satya and Sushant visited South Lake Tahoe between 20-24 Dec 2006. We arrived on the evening of 20th. 21st started with a light drizzle which turned into snow by the late afternoon. On 21st we celebrated Sanu's 13th birthday. The morning of 22nd was beautiful as everything was covered with Snow and it was a bright sunny morning. The children loved to play in the fresh snow on the front yard and backyard. The elder kids got on Sanu's sled and snow board and kept sliding down the front yard. The younger ones like Arnav, Sanskriti and Sarika kept making snowmen and threw snow balls at one another. Later in the day we went to a snow park and rented snow mobiles. The children all had a great kick. On the 23rd there was no new snow. We took the children to Heavenly Ski area for their introductory ski lessions. They all came back at 4PM. At night, we had dinner at Denny's. Around 11AM on the 24th we started back. On the way, we stopped at the adventure park again and had fun on the sledding hill on toboggans. Click on the pictures to get to a web album of pictures from the trip.
